Theodore Bonertz, who died in a threshing accident in 1907, was the first person to be buried here.

The cross at the center of the cemetery was donated by Fred and Bertha Latmann Schrempp c. 1975.  The bronze Christ figure on the cross, by  noted sculptor Susan Lynes of Bonneyvillle, AB, was donated by Francis and Helen Schrempp Hochstein c. 2009.  They also donated the granite  boulder at the cemetery entrance, on which the names of those buried here are inscribed.  Relatives of Ms. Lynes are buried at the cemetery.
